Established in 2004, Oppo started mobile business in year 2008. The company initially entered in the mobile world with a featured phone. It unveiled its first smartphone running on Android OS in 2011, named Oppo Find me.
The Company rolled out its Find 5 smartphone in 2013 running on company’s own Color OS in India. Find 5 was introduced with 2GB of RAM, 1080x1920 pixel resolution, 13- MP rear camera and weighs just 165 gm. It started its N- mobile series in September 2013 with Oppo N1, later introduced its successor N3 in late 2014.
The Company obtained the title of world’s slimmest mobile with its Oppo R5 with just thickness of 4.85 mm except a slight mount around the rear snapper. The R5 comes with a 5.2- inch full HD AMOLED display having resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. R5 runs on Android 4.4.2 and processed by a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm 615 Snapdragon processor. But the company was not steady with world’s slimmest phone title after the launch of Vivo X5 which is just 4.75 mm thick.
