Actually, the company started its journey with making of cycles in 1956 and later in 1984 formed as Hero Honda as a joint venture with Japanese automobile giant Honda. In 2010, Honda move out of joint venture and than in 2011 the company renamed as Hero MotoCorp.

Splendor is the most successful bike in commuter segment from the company. The bike was launched in 1994 for first time and from than only ruling in the segment. Currently company selling Splendor iSmart, Super Splendor, Splendor PRO Classic, Splendor PRO, Splendor+ models in the series. Some of the popular commuter motorcycles are Passion, Glamour, HF, Ignitor.
This Indian brand also have big parcel of Scooters (or more commonly called Scooty) with features like Air Cooled, 4 Stroke Single Cylinder OHC engine, Automatic Clutch, self start and disc brakes. Hero MotoCorp presently selling its Maestro, Maestro Edge, Pleasure, and Duet scooters in India.
Along with commuter bikes and scooter, the brand also has good looking and powerful sports bikes in the house. Sports bikes from Hero MotoCorp are equipped with Air cooled, 4- stroke single cylinder OHC Oil Cooler engine, DC- FTIS, Gasoline Fuel Injection System, Multiplate wet clutch, alloy wheels, tubeless tyres and disc brakes. Hero MotoCorp’s sport bikes are Karizma, Xtreame, Hunk and Impulse.
