Apple was established in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne to manufacture and develop personal computer. The company named as Apple Computer Inc. in 1977 and later renamed to Apple Inc. on 7 January 2007. Company’s laptops, notebooks and subnotebook runs on its own Mac OS.
In 1998, the company introduced its desktop series iMac series for home and business use. Macbook series of laptops and note had been originally introduced in 2006 in black and white color. Initially released Macbook was powered by Intel Core Duo processor and 945GM chipset, with Intel's GMA 950 integrated graphics on a 667 MHz front side bus. Later versions of MacBook processed by Core 2 Duo processor and the GM965 chipset.
Apple introduced Nvidia chipset featuring Mackbook on 14 October 2014. Later in 2009, the company unveiled Macbook with new polycarbonate (plastic) unibody design featuring DDR3 RAM, a multi- touch trackpad, LED backlit display, seven hour backup battery, and processed by a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
On July 2011, Apple silently discontinued its Macbook series for consumers as a result of low sales due to low price company’s own Macbook Air. Recently the company had announced to launch 11- inch Macbook Air in 2016 and to launch 15- inch and 13- inch Macbook Air with retina display in May 2016.
